Proposal Image Fusion and its Performance analysis

In this research plan we propose image fusion framework which includes image registration, image fusion and criterion for performance analysis for image fusion algorithms. Image regisration is the process of overlaying two or more images of the same scene taken at diffrent times, diffrent view points and/or by diffrent sensors. Image fusion is a process of integrating multiple imges of same scene to get more information. The main objective of the image fusion is to integrate complementry multisensory, multifocus, multitemporal, multimodal or multispectral data into new image, containing more information. Image quality assesment plays an important role in various image processing applications. This research also includes the performance analysis for fusion algoritms. Image fusion plays a prime role where the individual image is not much informative. Main applications of fusion algorithm includes medical imaging, robotics, military, remotesensing, manufacturing etc.
